CROCKPOT HASHBROWN CASSEROLE WITH SMOKED SAUSAGE

How to make Crockpot Hashbrown Casserole with Smoked Sausage

Step 1: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Once melted, sprinkle in the flour, whisk, and cook for about a minute. Pour in the water and stir until there are no lumps. Let it simmer until thick before whisking in the milk, chicken bouillon paste, and seasonings. At this point, the sauce should be a bit thick. Adjust the seasoning according to taste, then set aside.

Step 2: In a lightly greased crockpot, place the hashbrowns, smoked sausage, onion, and cheese. Pour the condensed soup over. Stir to combine. Cover the crockpot, set on high, and cook for 3 hours until the potatoes are tender and the sausages are hot.

Step 3: Serve and enjoy!

Note:

In case you don’t find chicken bouillon paste just use powdered or cubed. Alternately, you can use a mix of a cup of chicken stock with an extra half tsp poultry seasoning.
