SUPER EASY MONGOLIAN BEEF

Ingredients:

3 tbsp vegetable oil

1 1/2 lbs. flank steak sliced thin

1 tsp minced ginger

3 garlic cloves minced

1/2 c brown sugar

1/2 c low sodium soy sauce

1/4 c water

A pinch of red pepper flakes

1/4 c cornstarch

green onions sliced for garnish

Directions:

Add the flank steak and cornstarch inside a large resealable bag. Shake the bag until the steaks are well coated.

Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.

Add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the flank steaks into the hot skillet and cook each side until brown. Remove from the skillet onto a clean plate.

Meanwhile, add water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce into a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.

Pour the sauce into the skillet and scrape the bottom to get the browned bits. Allow the sauce to boil.

Put the steaks back into the skillet and toss until well coated by the sauce.

Remove from the heat, then garnish with red pepper flakes and freshly chopped green onions.

Serve and enjoy!
