SPICY CHICKEN LAZONE PASTA

I have always been a fan of pasta and I should say that this recipe made me a bigger fan of it! Oh, man, you should give this one a try. Enjoy!

SPICY CHICKEN LAZONE PASTA

Ingredients:

Seasoning Mixture:

1 teaspoon of sea salt

2 teaspoon Creole seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)

2 teaspoon paprika powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 c all-purpose flour

Chicken:

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 pound chicken tenders

Sauce:

4 tablespoons butter

Remaining seasoning mixture

2 c heavy cream

1 teaspoon paprika

Pasta:

8 ounces linguine

2 tablespoons parsley chopped

1/2 c Pasta water

Directions:

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, add in the Creole seasoning, paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, flour, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: Add in the chicken and season them generously with the seasoning mixture. Make sure to shake off any excess.

Step 3: Set aside leftover seasoning mixture for later use.

Step 4: Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 5: Add in butter and allow it to melt. Add in the olive oil as well.

Step 6: Add in the chicken and cook for about 8 minutes or until done.

Step 7: Remove the chicken from the pan and place them on a clean plate.

Step 8: In the same pan, add in 4 tablespoons of butter and the rest of the seasoning mixture. Cook the flour until done.

Step 9: Add in heavy cream and paprika. Allow the mixture to boil.

Step 10: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 4 minutes. Make sure to taste the sauce and add more seasoning if needed.

Step 11: Remove the sauce from the heat.

Step 12: Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Refer to the directions provided on the package of the pasta noodles.

Step 13: Drain the pasta and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water.

Step 14: Put the cooked pasta into the sauce and stir until well combined. Add a little of the reserved pasta water if needed.

Step 15: Put it back on the stove and reheat.

Step 16: Top each serving with the chicken and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

Step 17: Serve and enjoy!
